Team has been restructured, and Eric has modified the powertrain of to the car, Dodge Avenger to improve the vehicle's performance. Yes, SRE, Inc. is ready to face the toughest completion. SRE, Inc. is currently modifying the most critical components of the DODGE AVENGER in order to improve the overall vehicle's performance. The Team is reshaping, modernizing, and working on new strategy to compete effectively in the future racing events. *** MOPAR Nationals, Columbus, OH, August 10- 12 During that race, the SRE, Inc. will be driving another car than usually, a DODGE AVENGER with an engine equipped with a Nitrous Oxide apparatus. Watch for great results, though competition, and a lot of fun, as always. *** 21st annual Advance Auto Parts, MAY 03-06, 2001, Commerce Georgia. Eric and the SRE Crew competed for the first time in 2001 at the Advance Auto Parts Southern Nationals in Commerce, Georgia, Eric's home track. The team could have dialed into a bracket race running two identical 7.177 and a 7.182 to go along with a 7.27 pass that was due to a malfunctioning 2-step that helped expire a clutch prematurely. Eric considered the weekend very successful under the circumstances. The Allen Johnson HEMI engine arrived at the track that Thursday - no test sessions took place Eric had not driven since Houston of last year -October (6 months) The crew had not worked since last year The front & rear ride height, 4-link, pinion angle, rear springs, 1st gear ratio, engine, clutch, & all 4 tires had all been changed since the last pass on the car last year. l support. Eric and the SRE Crew competed for the second time in 2001 at the Fourth annual Route 66 Nationals, May 31- June 3, Joliet, IL The weather is much better than expected. It is not raining this Saturday, and the Team members are in a great mood. It takes so many Team efforts to prepare the vehicle for just a 7 second run. The Team members work always very hard, they have several years of experience in PRO STOCK racing, and they love it. It is the time to pull out the DODGE AVENGER from the PIT, and get ready for next race. Expectations are very high, since everything seems to be perfectly ready.....
